Borsad – a semi urban location in Anand district of Gujrat where SarvaGram started its first branch in 2019, has a hidden gem few know about – an ancient Stepwell!

The ancient stepwell is located in Borsad town in Anand district, Gujarat, India. It was built in 1497 by Vasu Soma and his family. It is seven story stepwell and has 13 arches. The water is reached by flight of steps. It is Monument of National Importance protected by Archaeological Survey of India. It was declared a national monument in 1958.

Stepwell is open from 8am till 6pm on all days except Sunday when it opens at 8.30 am.

How to reach Borsad?

  1. Borsad is well connected by roadways. It is 20 kms from Anand and 44 kms from Baroda. There are many private vehicle operators as well.
  2. It is around 100 kms from Ahmedabad.
